The VIth Internation Cave Photography Contest in Commemoration of Waldemar Burkacki is visiting the 2nd "Bezdroza" Torun Mountain Film Festival, during which the Contest will host an exhibition of photos from the VIth edition.
The Exhibition will open on the 15th of April (Thursday) at 18.55 at Dom Muz in Torun - on the first day of the festival.
The Exhibition will be launched with a presentation on caves by Tomasz Fiedorowicz - the President of Warsaw Speleoklub and a lecture by Wojciech Szabelski on the subject of cave photography.
Please do feel invited!
The exhibition will be open from the 15th to 30th of April in Dom Muz in Torun, on Podmurna 1/3 street.

Entry to the opening and the following days of the exhibition is free of charge.
November the 11th 2009
The awarded photo made by Artur Żera found its way to a cover of Extremium magazine - the 5th edition (2009) no. 38. The cover makes quite an impression.
Inside, five full pages have been dedicated to showcasing all the awarded photos and an article on the contest. Please feel invited to the 'media about us' section where the scanned material has been placed.

In Tatry magazine No. 4(30) an article has been published entitled "The contest in commemoration of Burkacki has been closed". In it there is a photo exposed made by Krzysztof Recielski that was awarded a prize by the magazine.

We have the pleasure to announce that our first public meeting with
photograps from 6th International Cave Photography Contest '2009 will take
place on Wednesday, October 4th at Empik Junior stage - the place in the
very middle of Warsaw.
Empik is our friend and at the same time - Poland's bigest trade company
selling mainly books, papers&magazines, music, multimedia and many others.
This is also good palce for cultural activities - even such exotic and
unusual as cave photography :).
We hope to put some photos from this meeting on contest web.

The VIth International Cave Photography Contest in Commemoration of Waldemar Burkacki - only a month lost for photo submission!
We like to strongly encourage all those of you who make photos in caves - of Poland and outside it to submit your works for the VIth edition of our cave photo contest.
On the 30th of September 2009 (posting date on the envelope marks the
deadline) is the final time for us to collect your applications.
In the first days of October the photos will be marked by a team of professional Jury consisting of cavers and photographers.
The winners shall be known to all on October the 5th 2009, and the results shall be published on the site.

"TATRY" MAGAZINE SPECIAL AWARD
For the first time in history of the Contest, this year will witness awarding of a special prize. TATRY magazine publisher will choose among the ones submitted for this year's edition the best cave photography made in the Tatra Mountains. The winner, to be chosen by TATRY editorial staff and the Jury will receive a two-years of subscription, a permit to enter and make a photo session in Naciekowa Cave, a set of 200 flashbulbs (type Tungsram TF1). Apart from this, the winning photo will be published in the magazine in the edition presenting the Contest results.
Just to remind you, this year's edition prizes are:
1st place - award valued approx. 500 EUR
2nd place - award valued approx. 300 EUR
3rd place - 2 awards in form of items
